Cile Cissel Net Championship

The Cile Cissel Trophy takes its name from the winner of the first Ann Arbor City Championship held in 1927. The Ann Arbor Women’s Golf Association became the home of the City Championship after its founding on September 2, 1931. Cile Cissel was one of three women who founded the association.

Two rounds of individual stroke play with full handicap comprise the Cile Cissel Net Championship. Nine- and eighteen-hole players competed separately. Prizes for top five (changed from three prior to 2015) contestants are awarded. In case of ties, the net score for the first 27 holes followed by the net score for the first 18 holes (if needed) will be used for 18-hole contestants. (If the 9-hole group is reestablished, the net score for the first 9-hole play will be used for 9-hole players.)

The 2023 Championship rounds were played The Links at Gateway (Aug 4) & Washtenaw Golf Club (Aug 7).
